La Défense and Seine-Arche have five major advantages:
> a business district rated number one in Europe,
> an environmental management system,
> strong development potential, with nearly 200 hectares (500 acres) for development,
> major transport investments that will provide connections with the airport and rail gateways to Grand Paris and the port of Le Havre
> governance bringing together all public actors: the State, the Ile-de-France Region, the Hautsde- Seine Departmental Council and the towns of Courbevoie, Nanterre and Puteaux,
> management, operation and coordination of the Business District handled by Defacto, a state-owned local institution that works with the residents and businesses in La Défense.

Many users of La Défense have set up outside the business district itself. This movement has contributed to expanding the Business District’s zone of influence over a territory with nearly 10 million m² of offi ce space.

La Défense’s new horizons now include Bezons, Gennevilliers, Bois-Colombes, Rueil-Malmaison, Nanterre, Suresnes, etc.
Users will fi nd new, efficient products to meet their new social and environmental needs, all at values that are economically compatible with their budget constraints.
International investors have shown enthusiasm for this expanded area. They account for nearly 50% of the business real estate investments over the last ten years.
